when I count correctly, this was my sixth visit to this place within the last two years. for me this restaurant is one of the hidden treasures of the lukewarm gastronomy. located under the cathedrale and easily accessible from the place de la riponne (Metro/Parking), the restaurant looks very traditional from the outside, but gives an idea of the eating experience when entering the beautifully designed newer part of the restaurant. the menu offers seasonal specialties and seasonal classics as well as a daily changing lunch menu. this time I started with ravioli with black truffles, followed by a perfectly fried Lup-de-mer with caviar and black rice. desserts were all very tempting, but I was already quite full, so I decided for delicious crafts and sorbet. the whole experience was accompanied by an “Il Borro” from the toskana. Dishes can be expensive, the Loup-de-mer was chf, which can easily be explained by the generous amount of caviar. my wife had chosen the ravioli with white truffles from the lunch menu that came with the choice of suppe of the day or a mixed salad. we had a friend with us, who chose the very delicate black bone from the lunch menu. both midday suggestions were also absolutely delicious and are a very good option if you want to watch their budget. the service was very attentive, fast and friendly (and if it is important to them: it spoke fluently German.) overall, another experience that lets me think of my next visit in this restaurant.
