Nirvana - the Indian Restaurant

We are always on the lookout for good Indian food wherever we travel, because, well, we LOVE Indian food. We had a lovely lunch here today. We shared an order of chicken briyana and an order of a chickpea stew, and some bread. It was served with a nice yogurt sauce. The food was delicate, distinctive and flavorful. I would definitely return to this gem in the center of town, but tucked away, It was raining while we ate outside, but the restaurant is protected by a glass ceiling making the experience even more delightful. Very reasonably priced, and the service was professional.

Stale food, terrible service, cheating in billing, don't even dare trying this. The food was served late, chapatis could not be chewed, they were so hard, probably microwaved and reheated. Don't get lured by the Indian name

Serves good north Indian food. Papad, pickles and salad were also good. Lassi was nice. But slightly on expensive side.

The food is good, tastefully made, one can go if spending more than 3-4 days in Vienna, but the service was not very good and they charged us extra for a little sugar asked, this was quiet a blow !

The staff are very good and cooperative and provide good Indian food.They really take care of Indians and try to serve you best food.

Asked our concierge for a recommendation at a Indian restaurant walking distance from our hotel. He suggests Nirvana so we decided to try it out. Service was odd - the owner kept trying to upsell us on everything - be careful of this tactic and just say no. Food had a stale smell to it - the veggies had a old food smell and we weren't able to finish the meal. I now feel sick. The location is off the busy shopping road and they've created this odd court yard in the middle of a bunch of shops. No natural sunlight just surrounded by concrete. If you're craving Indian go elsewhere.

Location - calm and serene place which is centrally located. They had a nice outdoor setup which just enhanced the overall experience. Service - Excellent. The place had a personal touch with the staff taking due care of our requirements and engaged with us on a personal level leaving a feel good effect. Though did not really concern us much, they were slightly slow with the service and could improve on it. Quality - Exceeded expectations. Everything (veg, non veg, breads, etc) was extremely well cooked, with decent quantity and delicious to eat. Not for once we felt like eating so far away from our home. They also offered complementary pickles which was class apart to say the least! Price - reasonable costing us ~35 euro. Suggestion for the hotel staff - they boasted of #1 ranking on trip advisor in Vienna for 8 straight years which obviously is not the case. I think he forgot that people can very well call out their lie that very moment! They should rather let their food do the talking and leave the rest for the customers to decide! Overall - Definitely recommended!
