I usually do not like spicy food, but this restaurant was just right, we were 7 persons and they immediately accepted us even though the restaurant was full, we ordered so many different dishes, all were just perfect.Don't miss it if you are in Vienna

The portions were big, the curry was hot and everything was so full of flavour. The staff were really friendly and created a good atmosphere in the restaurant. If I lived local this would be my go-to place.
DO NOT GO: Ordered the Bombay Plate for 2 persons, which took well over 50 minutes!! The restaurant was serving two large groups of Indians before and after we got our dish who didn't seem too pleased either.The plate itself was huge (way too much rice) and the meat was substandard and super dry. Honestly, I only could identify chicken easily but couldn't really differentiate the rest (if it was not all chicken anyways). The taste was okayish but for a price of 27€ not sufficient at all. We ended up with a bill of 37€ (including a 1,5€ fee for cutlery, which was roughly half a century old) after more than 1.5 hours in the restaurant with a subtropical climate inside (which was the only authentic Indian experience).Frankly, this restaurant is only able to survive by serving large tourist groups who won't come back anyways. There are two nice Pho places in the neighborhood which serve authentic Vietnamese food for half the price. Cheers.
Had the pleasure of dinig at Bombay restaurant in Vienna during my holiday in Vienna in last week of May. The food and ambience made me feel as if I am eating in a restaurant sitting in India. Neat and clean place. Nice service. And above all, excellent food !!!
In general, Austrians do not care for hot food and so most Indian restaurants in Vienna major on mild curries. In England, hot curries are popular and if this is your preference, you will enjoy The Bombay. Very hot food is clearly marked on the menu. This restaurant is outstanding, and has been so for over 10 years. The Bombay is a family business and it offers friendly and efficient service. Prices are mid range - a bargain bearing in mind the culinary treat that awaits you !
Probably a 3.5 the food was tasty and good quality, the service was OK buut sitting outside on a busy corner was nothing special. Toilet facilities were poor. Its is an good place for a meal but would not settle in for the evening

This is a good place to eat Indian food. Service is OK and waiting times are longer. Good to eat Punjabi food.
