Casa Alberto

Wir sind heute spontan zum Pizzaessen mit 8 Personen gegangen und ich muss sagen, die Casa Alberto ist ein absoluter Volltreffer! Die Pizzen sind super lecker, groß und günstig. Generell ist es sehr gemütlich, wir hatten jedoch Glück, dass für uns Platz war. Hätten wir reserviert, hätten wir wohl im Nichtraucherbereich sitzen können. Aber das hat nicht sehr gestört. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und der Inhaber ist super freundlich, ein absolutes Muss!

Just arrived in Vienna, we strolled towards the city centre looking for a place to eat. This place looked inviting, and we were all thirsty, so we dropped in. The beer was very good, and a look at the menu confirmed we'd all find something we liked. Nice local food and pasta, good wine too. Would happily go back there.

I live in Vienna and had walked past this restaurant hundreds of times before actually going in there but now I don't know why I didn't visit earlier, it's very good.A restaurant serving Italian AND Mexican food might seem like an odd combination but it somehow works.Since our local Mexican restaurant in the Favoritenstrasse closed down some time ago, we went for Mexican food and chose tortilla chips with guacamole to start, followed by enchiladas de mole (folded stuffed maize tortillas covered in the traditional chocolate-chili sauce).The guacamole was slightly oily, but still fresh and tasty; the tortilla chips were crisp and light. The main course was excellent, with plenty of zing to the sauce and lots of rice to mop it up. Very good value for money and the ideal place to restore yourself after a day of walking around Vienna sightseeing!Lovely, friendly service to top it all off - I would definitely come back here a second time to try out more from the menu.

We had a long walk around Vienna on that day. It was our first day in Vienna actually so we were really exhausted because of walking. This Italian-Mexican restaurant was a great place to have a substantial meal before we continued walking. Pasta was very good and the home-wine too. There's a room for smokers which is kinda rear these days. The place can handle big groups and is also very good for family lunch or dinner.

Just great! Real Mexican food in Vienna and the Italian is also awesome. Between Karlplatz and Belvedere Palace.

Vienna, immensa Vienna! Camminare, camminare fino al primo languorino. Cerchiamo un posticino per cenare ma fuori dalla ressa e senza pretese. Passiamo davanti alle vetrine di Casa Alberto e capiamo trattarsi di un ristorantino con cucina tradizionale spagnola ma non solo. Entriamo accolti gentilmente dal titolare in un ambiente alquanto spartano ed abbastanza spoglio. Chiediamo di cenare in una zona non fumatori (AHIME' NELLA CIVILISSIMA AUSTRIA NON HANNO ANCORA RECEPITO LA DIRETTIVA CHE VIETA IL FUMO IN TUTTI I LOCALI!!!) ci viene proposta una saletta attigua alla sala principale divisa si da una vetrata e dotata di aspiratore, però questo non è in funzione e la porta rimane aperta, dunque anche noi non fumatori respiriamo il fumo altrui! Vabbè, ci rassegnamo anche perchè siamo stanchi ed affamati. Ordiniamo un paio di piatti di verdura cruda mista e come primi delle lasagne ed una zuppa. Cucina molto essenziale ma per la situazione è quel che basta, plachiamo la fame e ci scaldiamo. Il servizio è garbato e gentile quindi il tutto è funzionale per quel che ci serviva. Paghiamo un conto appena un po sopra le righe per quel che abbiamo avuto ma in fondo per un ripiego decoroso Casa Alberto ci può stare
