Chianti

Мне часто приходится бывать в Вене по делам. И, как правило, я оказываюсь в районе улицы Am Tabor. Еще несколько лет назад я впервые посетил этот ресторан. Первый раз это был бизнес-ланч, и меня привлекли хорошее качество приготовленного обеда и его невысокая цена. С тех пор я неоднократно бывал в этом ресторане и всегда оставался доволен этими посещениями. В меню гармонично уживаются австрийская, итальянская и балканская кухни. Хозяин ресторана, он же шеф-повар, ему помогают жена и взрослые сын с дочерью. Очень вкусны балканские мясные блюда - плескавица, чевапчичи. Любители рыбных блюд могут заказать себе морского волка или дораду на гриле, мидии в соусе из белого вина или томатном. Широко представлены итальянские пасты и спагетти, а также разнообразная пицца. Пиццу можно заказать на вынос, в этом случае она оказывается сильно дешевле, чем если ее есть в ресторане. И в завершение отмечу, что разливное пиво Оттакрингер здесь продается по очень доступной цене. Впрочем цены на еду тоже более чем демократичные.

We had just arrived from an overnight flight from the U.S. and were out for a walk, looking for a place to have an early dinner before heading to bed. When we passed by Chianti, the idea of Italian food sounded so appetizing, we went right in!At first, we thought the restaurant might be closed, as there was no one at any of the tables. But someone busily preparing food in the kitchen saw us and quickly came out to help. He became our host, waiter and chef - and it was all absolutely delightful! The menu was not in English, and our host did not speak English, but we were able to figure out enough with his help to order our meals. Presentation was perhaps a bit lacking, but the food was really excellent! I had chicken cutlet in gorgonzola sauce - really large portion and delicious. My husband had the chef's special gnocchi, and it was even better than my chicken!Combining great service with great food - what better way to start out our stay in Vienna. We hope to go back to Chianti before we leave - and this time I'm ordering the gnocchi too!

..what they do with fish dishes, cevapcici and rasnici. i dont like the location, the ambiente and the ever arising waiting time there if you are hungry and your car breaks down right there - the quality is ok !

we were in this restaurant several times in a group of 2-5 people. the balkan-Italian food is always excellent. the owner serves himself, very friendly and well maintained. the ambiente is not very welcoming but not abused, eating and the service compensate it.

we ordered this as a delivery and the food was excellent! great pastas and pizzas. also really good sorts!
