Balila

I was one of the early customers of balila that served excellent Lebanese cuisine. However, in several cases I did not show any booking due to health (mea culpa maxima). so I booked a week before a table for two outside. I. confirmed the booking on the day before (a good idea as my name and phone number were wrong in the booking system). when I came to lunch, my table was moved from the terrace to the inside of the restaurant. I have inquired the reason for this change. the restaurant manager showed herself to scream that she had seven no-shows in her system, she thought I wouldn't show up and cancel the outside. I was treated like a criminal in front of my hospitable by people who didn't really do their work (the manager was not aware that I confirmed the booking). this was the worst restaurant experience ever and felt like being welcome in a prison that is a scandal for a family owned. I will never visit Balila and her sister restaurant again.

I expected a high-grade Lebanese restaurant in a great location of fine. the hall was clean and not too big, but eating was not on standard, not good value for money.

yes, this Lebanese restaurant has revisited refined Lebanese cuisine and does not expect to get a simple shawarma as they find it ie: as in street shops in beirut. the taste is all there, but the presentation is defferent with chef hussein hadids touch. the restaurant is beautifully decorated...with refined comfortable furniture and the ambiente a very pleasant. we order Mezze types, the good portions for and shared a schawarma dish as main course; we had different desserts one to share oriental orange on cream (a la libanaise). to die and a moughli (a spiced type of jelly with nuts above) I dreamed to eat for a long time and another named carabij with the exact taste of carabij tasty for its taste, presented with the cooking touch in a certain,unusual wise. a pleasure for the eyes.

Excellent service! And all the vegetarian food was delicious. The staff remembers you and remembers what you like, which adds a very personal touch! Really really nice!

Authentic lebanese cuisine with ample options for vegetarians. Option for outdoor seating overlooking place longemalle.

After several visits, most of the staff remain unprofessional and recently very rude. For example, small favors continue to be declined, even when we had elderly guests with us. Food is fine but do not expect the typical well-known Lebanese dishes to be up to...the standard of the traditional cuisine. We hope this Hotel improves the service and attitude of the staff/waiters.
