Nomad Design & Lifestyle Hotel

I am usually afraid when hotel restaurants say they to offer an international menu. Nomad eatery manages to incorporate international dishes while still keeping a good standard. I recommend the Vietnamese style soup noodles, the pea soup, the crispy squid, the crab burger, the Indian veg rolls.

Usually a visit in the bar is always nice,the service and the barkeepers super friendly. but a visit during the art basel cannot be recommended, because the bartender suddenly no longer knows what gin was ordered, so the bartender is alerted, a dry embarrassing sorry comes. the right gin is then presented, but much too much.A tip: people who know each other with gin are not drunks, but more enjoyable. you hardly sit again with benevolent friends, notice another.es is the wrong gin in the glass and the same story repeats itself again. if the bartender has no lust for his job at the later hour, he is definitiw in a bar badly canceled.

the kitchen is very kreatiw, eating tastefully excellent and the service staff are very friendly. we enjoyed the occasion very much.

If you want to have a lovely breakfast also during the week, this is the place to go. The selection is wonderful from fresh fruit to local Swiss cheese, different kind of eggs fantastic bread and rolls, etc. just perfect!

I've been to dinner. the place is very nice and the window open on the road is very nice with tables outside. The only really good thing was cheesecake. I took a salad as a starter that was normal. the bread basket contained 3 slices, it seemed the advance of another dinner. the burger, super thin, rested on a carrot bed cut in julien. terrible. He didn't know anything. the sauce that accompanied the fries seemed like a tomato sauce, arranged with a little tabasco and worcestershire sauce. really a shame. the staff is friendly.

we were the 3th time in nomad and before I would like to note that we were very happy last 2x, well spited and very well served. the ordered nachos were delicious, but apparently we got the rest from the bag (breatheded) the preparer had over a few whole pretty draped so that it does not notice. after the notice to the service we then got a few afteros to it. perfect. a nogo of the kitchen. we ordered the in-house burger. after over 1h waiting time and hungry we asked. because of a group in the restaurant, unfortunately it took a little longer, was the answer. after another 15 minutes, we asked again - after about 1.5 hours we asked for the bill. the burger would have apparently been the same serviera, but we were starving and waiting for the appetit past. we got the bill. a regret or an apologies remained. that should not happen to a 4 star house.

There was an interesting selection of wines and I had to try the Swiss one of course. It was solid choice for new experience and a nice one certainly. I was able to taste a bunch of the wines and they all were very different, so not big list, but a good one. The food was really nice. Dessert was too gigantic peace of Cheesecake that was too much to handle for some of our group. So maybe some more intriguing fruit / berry dressings and less with cake, because the ladies are so self-aware these days DPS We were a group of 30 people or so and we reserved our cozy corner in advance. I and my companionship, we were organising the event, got some eye rolling of the fact that only one menu was possible for the whole group, but we kept saying that 30 people is a lot to handle in a restaurant on Friday evening. So if there's something to do about the variety that some people always want - it would be good improvement :)
